I haven't really had time to post anything, so I'm going to just start posting food! I've been busy studying Japanese, cooking and coding, in addition to preparing for our upcoming trip. I was kind of derailed last week with a cold that kept me from being as productive as I normally am, but I'm okay now! I made hijiki for the first time, a great success, and several other delicious dishes that I will try and post pics of soon.

I have been doing a massive code-clean-up on this site - offline of course - that will allow me much more flexibility in the future. I've also been looking at moving all the posts/images/etc. from my old Japan travel-blog, japanbot, to this blog, in a travel section of sorts. So much to do! I have a million pictures I want to post, recipes to write, music to write, a language to learn...

O, how many times have I attempted to update my blog in the past (however long it has been). Boo. Here's what's been keeping me busy:

• Planning a trip to Japan (Almost done!)
• Writing music again (Almost finished with a song!)
• Studying (the Japanese language, of course)
• Cooking, but that's a given as well, since I am always cooking

I'm researching laptops to buy one that kicks ass at music performance stuff. I don't want a Mac, and I have given up trying to get Linux to easily do audio, so Windows it is. I can get XP pretty rock-solid stable though, so I'm not too worried.

I have pictures! Just not right now :( ... but soon! Did you know that Bonobos actually fashion spears for hunting aren't cool at all(fixed - thanks Jason!)!? Also, I'm going to post a nuka-zuke tutorial and a few of my favorite pickling recipes! Also also, I may do a couple of restaurant reviews for some amazing places to eat around Seattle. These are just a few things I've been procrastinating over! Isn't it awesome?
