<p>I made this with elements of red (carrots and my homemade aka miso) and white (taro and shiro miso) in observence of the traditional colors of the <a title="Wi9kipedia - Shogatsu" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_new_year">Japanese New Year 正月 (</a><em><a title="Wi9kipedia - Shogatsu" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_new_year">shogatsu</a></em><a title="Wi9kipedia - Shogatsu" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_new_year">)</a> .
