music, japanese food and otaku culture
So, starting over…
I want this blog to have more focus in the stuff I really care about, and I’ve narrowed it down to three things, as evident in the tagline.
Music typically means my personal music; 8-bit electronic video game music meets breakbeat drum ‘n’ bass idm. The music portion of this website is on my to-do list, but for now it consists of a basic list of downloadable mp3s. You can also find tangentbot on MySpace – add me as a friend or some crazy crap!
Japanese food can mean any recipe, site review or weird food experience related to Japan that I stumble on. Having cooked primarily (nearly exclusively) traditional and modern Japanese cuisine for the better part of four years or so, I have a ton of food-related knowledge I want to share.
Otaku culture is sort of a catch-all for all the geeky stuff I’m into; not necessarily (but probably) Japanese-related. This means manga reviews, anime reviews, pictures of my figures and gundams, Japan-related news and gadgets, anything having to do with science or technology – I consider it all “otaku culture”.
Otaku (おたく or オタク) is a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, and video games.
Lastly, this is me formally breaking up with Blogger. Our failed relationship is proof that no matter how much you love someone, they can only change if they want to. Maybe our paths will cross again, who knows? For now, I’ve found what I want in WordPress. Stay tuned dear readers!
